Dr. Evan Osar

Dr. Evan Osar is an internationally recognized lecturer, author, and expert on assessment, manual therapy, movement, and exercise. What makes Dr. Osar’s approach unique is that he has dedicated his life to studying and synthesizing the very best information from the fields of chiropractic and physical rehabilitation, sports medicine, and exercise science.

From this synthesis and through 23 years of practical application, he developed the Integrative Movement System™.  The IMS is based upon the principles that form the foundation for optimal posture, movement, and performance – alignment, breathing, and control.

These principles guide the approach that Dr. Osar and his team at Chicago Integrative Movement Specialists™  utilize with their clients. Dr. Osar and his team specialize in partnering with individuals who are looking to be proactive in taking responsibility for their health while working towards achieving their unique fitness and wellness goals.

Jenice Mattek

Jenice specializes in post-surgery manual therapy and wellness for women and men struggling with scar tissue and the effects of surgeries like Cesareans, hysterectomies, mastectomies, hernia, appendectomies, joint replacements, and more.

Jenice co-authored the book What Lies Beneath:  The Under-Realized Effects of Breast, Abdominal & Pelvic Surgeries.

Jenice has spent the last 20+ years working with clients to actively return to the activities they need, want, and love to do.

Jenice is the co-owner of Chicago Integrative Movement Specialists and the Integrative Movement Institute where she teaches massage therapists and other health and fitness professionals all over the world at conferences and workshops.

Sara Fisher

Dedicated in her study of the body, Sara began her professional career as a dancer but continued on to receive her personal training certification in 2002 from the American Council on Exercise. Since then she has furthered her study with a certification in perinatal fitness from Healthy Moms Fitness in 2003 and a certification as an Integrated Movement Specialist in 2009.

Early in her career, she co-founded Woman Centered Fitness where she designed and taught several fitness classes for women and has since gone on to author 2 chapters on perinatal fitness in Complete Program Design: For the Rest of Us by Evan Osar (www.iihfe.com). In March of 2017, she and Jenice Mattek released their first book What Lies Beneath: the Under-realized Effects of Breast, Abdominal, & Pelvic Surgeries; How They Affect You; & What You Can Do About It.

Recently, Sara and Jenice Mattek created The Wellness Approach for Women who have a history of breast, chest, abdominal, and/or pelvic surgeries. Together, Sara and Jenice help both women and men move beyond the pain and compensations caused by surgical procedures through a powerful combination of manual therapy and corrective movement patterns. Sara can also be found teaching other health and fitness professionals about functional movement as well as teaching conditioning strategies for dancers. Currently, she sees private clients in the clinic and assists Dr. Osar and Jenice Mattek in teaching the ICEI and IMS programs to other professionals whether it’s in the Chicago area or abroad.

Whether teaching group classes or working one-on-one, she helps her clients meet their fitness goals through customized fitness techniques, and when she’s not doing that, Sara enjoys her time with her husband, 2 boys, and the family’s fur baby.

Jill Leary
Clinical Massage Therapist

Jill became a licensed massage therapist after working as a registered dietitian. She enjoys assisting her clients reach their goals of doing what they need and love to do through bodywork.  Working alongside the IMS team, she blends alignment, breathing and control into her treatments.

Jill is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals as well as a preferred practitioner with the Society for Oncology Massage. Jill teaches science courses at a massage therapy school, enjoys improv comedy and explores the city neighborhoods on foot looking for cute coffee houses to hang out in.

Tanya Homan

Tanya joined the team as an administrative assistant in October of 2021. She holds a B.A. degree in Communications, with a focus on visual communication & graphic design. She thrives on being organized, project-oriented and creative,  which allows her to complete various tasks for the Integrative Movement Institute. 

Tanya enjoys helping others, assisting them however she can to help achieve their goals both personally and professionally. 

When she is not working, Tanya keeps busy taking care of her family, reading or crafting. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons and their two dogs.
