I certified as a Pilates instructor in early 2005 and trained at the Stott Pilates International training facility in Toronto. I love working with people, and making them feel confident as they move. The safe and effective method of Pilates keeps clients strong and flexible as well as balanced.

As I grew into my practice I felt the need to learn more about the body and biomechanics. Clients were coming to me with conditions like Parkinson's, acute neck pain, spinal stenosis and much more. I came across an article written by Dr. Evan Osar, founder of the Integrative Movement Institute. His simple yet very effective ways to train an individual made a lot of sense to me.

The IMS principles (Alignment, Breathing, Control) are very powerful and effective. They blended seamlessly into my Pilates background. I took his Integrative Movement Specialist Certification in 2012. His perspective on the body has definitely influenced how I conduct my sessions.

My goal is to teach individuals the three important principles and help them integrate them into their everyday tasks. There is always a moment of satisfaction when I can clearly see the results of working with someone - even if it is for a few minutes. I have observed marked improvements in posture and balance. The mobility and flexibility also show improvements.

I have continued my studies with Dr. Osar for the past four years. I use what I've learned to help my current clients with their mobility, strength, balance, and overall health and movement.

Our studio is a fully-equipped Pilates studio including a reformer, chair, and Cadillac in a warm and friendly environment.
